...I can't do this anymore

Post by Mattzpa »

I'm pushing toward a lost cause. I've been committing hours to my Pokémon on here, and have tried to take part in this community. It's much too inactive, and those I do try to initiate in conversation are either snarky, or unresponsive. VA could have been such a great thing, but it's people like these who likely helped ruined it. My tradable mons are going to the adoption center. I hope those Pokémon go to good people. I doubt it, but it's never a bad thing to hope for good. My artwork and passion is meant for the eyes of the hopeful and kind hearted. So I take my leave and wish everyone (friendly or not) the best.

Mattzpa, You're being a little dramatic here for staying only 2 weeks.

Nobody said it wasn't inactive and you can't blame people for not wanting to talk, because there are people who just don't want to talk much.

There are still people working on a solution for future updates and new features, but it takes time. It's actually a little bit hard to find qualified people for longterm work without proper payment.
Also I saw other people joining after the page being inactive and they still stayed, I'm sorry if that doesn't count for you.

KopierKatze, I merely stated my reasoning for my leaving this place. Pardon me for wearing my heart on my sleeve, but upon my arrival I've not made my full hearted nature a secret. It shouldn't be a surprise that I'm not going to just up and leave like a typical non caring person with no farewell
. I felt I should at least give my thoughts, farewell, and regards. I have you to thank personally as well. This reply has given me sure fire closure that I have made the right decision for myself. I don't hold a grudge or anything. Like I said, this just isn't meant for me, so don't take it as force fed salt, okay? Again, I wish you all the best :)

Mattzpa, sorry to hear that you're leaving. It's pretty inactive here, but I think you're probably sensitive when you're talking about mean or snarky users

Don't be negative. You only made 41 posts. Some of us old vetrans have made more in meaningful areas. Check out the guilds area. There are active threads there. And I support KK. Some of us don't chat much. But we do post from time to time. Don't be a downer.

While I understand your aversion to inactivity, I believe you are being dramatic to claim you've invested so much time and effort into this community when you'd only been here for a couple of weeks as well as sensitive and unfair regarding the "snarky" and "unresponsive" members.

All I can say about the snarky members is that you could be misinterpreting them, take it from someone whose has a colorful history of being misintprited and there is life outside of the internet so it's quite possible the unresponsive are busy. You also can't hold it against the latter if they find what you have to say uncompelling. Not everyone is going to be interested in you, that's just a fact of life.

Your response to KopierKatze was also out of line when you decided to announce that you are leaving instead of just doing so. When you post in a community you are basically asking for feedback and there will always be both positive and negative, supportive and indifferent.
You're preaching your right to your opinion, well everyone has that right not just you.

I'm sorry that your experience here wasn't pleasant. It saddens me as well that the activity here as diminished and I'd know better than you as I've been here for years so knew this community during it's prime when it was full of life but that doesn't mean that I don't still enjoy talking to those who still come around and hatching Pokemon.

Good luck to you.

This makes my cry... I mean it. I'm not laughing about it. I'm so sorry.

I'll be a bit more empathetic of your position than those previous.

This is now definitely inactive community, and no matter which angle you look a it, it won't breed many that will stick around for community, especially if the community indirectly encourages people to stick to their own. It isn't hard to understand that you don't want to stick around, with [possibly, since i don't know the situation] mean people kind of pushing you off the edge.

If the previous posters were right in that the staff is trying to generate more activity, it might be good on you to stick around. Sorry about your bad time! ~ ^~

I know that feel.
Just wish me luck there. I'm about to read 777spinslot customer support. I've heard it's pretty easy to win there. Isn't it great?
