I was looking into breeding the Rufflet line, another male-only gendered pokémon, and when I put them into the Daycare I got the 'the two would prefer to play with others' line. Was this just forgotten (same with Tauros)? Or is there other specifications that should be clarified in the Guide? As it seems the Examples listed are the only male only pokémon that can actually be bred with Ditto -- making the line in the guide a bit misleading.Can I use Ditto to breed with everyone?
No. Right now Ditto is only used as a substitute to the male Pokemon that can't breed at all due to one-gendered specification
(eg. Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan, Hitmontop).

Re: Male Only Gendered Breeding w/ Ditto
I'm pretty sure this rule only applies to male Pokemon that don't have female counterpartsCan I use Ditto to breed with everyone?

Rufflet -> Vullaby
Tauros -> Miltank
Volbeat -> Illumise
Nidoran M -> Nidoran F
And so on
EDIT
I'm pretty this is a bug:
Throh can't breed with ditto
Sawk can't breed with ditto

So.. if I bred a Mandibuz & Braviary there would be a chance of getting a Rufflet? I figured it'd just always be Vullaby if I did that. The bug pair & Nidoran pair are very different as they are actually listed as breeding pairs on bulbapedia whereas the other two are not. General consensus over the internet (for the games) points to 'no' they will not produce an egg of the male parent; unless this site is different. Which would be great! But would be nice to have that listed in the guide somewhere.

Well, like Tango just said if you breed 2 different Pokémon you'll always get the female one from an egg even if they are counterparts of some kind. As someone who bred thousands of eggs in Pokémon games I can guarantee that.Pokemon Knight wrote: Rufflet -> Vullaby
