Yes! I second this. And by what I am seeing, there are multiple computers being used at same time because no way could one person give me that many clicks all at once

I think you can still bot the captcha's (which Pokémon is level X etc), since the answer is always the same.

What about implementing a real captcha with random numbers?

Since I always click on a tablet without a keyboard it would be a real hassle to type in a random number every 30 seconds. For me the CE is very unattractive for clicking as it is, having a captcha where I actually have to type something would most certainly lead to me not using it at all (except for leveling Monthlies, where I would binge-click for a few days until I have enough credits for a Shiny and then abandon it again).
However, if there is a possibility to keep the current method (click on a picture) and then only randomize the levels, so that I won't have to type something in, then I would welcome it :)

I personally feel as though this is less of a problem with security as it is cheating through the use of auto clicking software. I'm not sure if there's any way to tell who is using such a software, but I definitely think that this should be addressed as it is a part of the site-wide rules.

I haven't even been using the CE lately, so I didn't realize we have this problem. I guess if we have cheaters, something needs to be done. I saw this happen on another adoptable site many years ago. The owner had a way of detecting the cheaters, but I wouldn't know what that was. The cheaters were banned and their adoptables were deleted since they had unfairly obtained levels. Maybe something similar will happen here?

I agree on this, I don't think there is any change in questions that can't be soon botted or programmed.
What I have been seeing is I put 50 credits on each of 12 eggs and one minute later, every egg is above 2000 steps, yet only 1 or 2 people have clicked then. Normally you only see that if there is a new promo and the whole site is using CE.

If there's a user you suspect is using unapproved means to level up their adopts, farm money, hatch eggs, etc, you can report them to a moderator or administrator in a private message.

Yeah, I tried to bait the user by putting 50 credits on an egg and then watching it for a few minutes (actually about a half hour), but no one clicked it, so I might be on a different time zone than the perpetrator. The next day, my egg was hatched and only four people had clicked it, but I dunno if they legitimately clicked or not so I'm not about to accuse.

Actually the botting slowed way down after this thread started...which is good

I wonder if that means whoever was doing it read this and got scared?

I did notice a while back that I would adopt a batch of eggs and they'd be hatched barely 20 minutes after I dumped credits on them. It made me start using the CE more before realizing that no matter how fast I clicked, I couldn't keep up with whoever was doing it. I eventually just gave up on the CE altogether so I wouldn't run my credits dry.

Was hoping they got caught and banned, but I guess if this thread scared them off, that's good enough. Maybe I'm safe to start putting credits on my eggs again.

I suspect the person(s) were banned. If you take a look under Zygarde, which is one of the Congratz prizes you win by clicking the Daycare it shows that there are 465 out of the 619 available, and 23 out of 26 Shinies available. To my thinking, that means some were purged.
